At 10:43 on Friday, 6 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

3 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Bishops Castle and Church Stretton.

Crews called to a report of a fire on the Long Mynd. This was a false alarm caused by an on looker mistaking haze for smoke.
