At 17:46 on Friday, 6 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Lilleshall Newport.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Newport, Telford Central and Tweedale. A Hazmat officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Grass fire approx 75m x 50m . Hose reel jet and beaters in use .
