Grass Fire

At 05:22 on Wednesday, 11 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Grass Fire in The Wrekin.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport, Tweedale and Wellington.

Fire involving approximately 10 sq m of peat and undergrowth, knapsacks and shovels in use. 11/07/18 09:29 - Digging out and turning over is continuing and damping down has also commenced. Water is being ferried between 3 appliances
