At 14:53 on Wednesday, 11 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Reports of fire in garden which had spread to trees. The fire involved various unattended bonfires. 2 hose reel jets supplemented by hydrant were used to extinguish fire.
