At 18:00 on Thursday, 12 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Lilleshall.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Newport and Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Fire involving 100 square metres of cut straw.
