At 01:02 on Monday, 23 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Reports of field on fire at rear of Wrekin College which proved to be grass and tree cuttings on fire. Two hose reel jets were used.
