At 12:10 on Monday, 23 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews have dealt with a grass fire approximately 10 meters by 10 meters involving grass and undergrowth in wooded area off Duxmore Way, Dawley. They have extinguished it using knapsack sprayer and hose reel jet.
