Fire In Open

At 17:24 on Wednesday, 25 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Market Drayton and Newport. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Fire involving approximately 20 acres of barley and 100 metres of hedgerow, trees and undergrowth. 2 water fogging systems, beaters and farm machinery in use to extinguish fire.
