Fire In Open

At 18:27 on Thursday, 26 July, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Bishops Castle and Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving 5m x 15m of field - crews have used 2 horse reel jets, 1 foggin pump, 1 thermal imaging camera and drag rakes to extinguish the fire.
