At 17:19 on Monday, 6 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry.

Reports of fire in the open which involved 10 square metres of grass and undergrowth involved caused by failure in mains electric cable to solar farm.
