At 09:34 on Friday, 31 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Craven Arms.

2 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton and Craven Arms.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Approximately 60tonnes of baled silage involved in fire. Crews using drag rakes to break down, and assistance from land owner with farm machinery.
