At 13:57 on Friday, 31 August, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Shrewsbury.

4 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of 3 children in the river - all 3 exited river prior to arrival of Fire Service.
