At 22:04 on Sunday, 9 September, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Property Fire in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

Small fire involving a light fitting in toilet area of a commercial building.
