At 18:11 on Monday, 8 October, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue.

3 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Baschurch, Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Female successfully rescued from River Severn. Casualty left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
