At 18:52 on Saturday, 13 October, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Wem and Whitchurch.

Reports of fire in the open near Grinshill which proved to be 2 deep seated fires involving logs. Crews proceeded to fires on foot and ferried water from appliance to damp down the area
