At 11:50 on Thursday, 29 November, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Rtc Persons Trapped in Newton .

3 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Ellesmere, Wellington and Wem. An Operations officer was in attendance.
