At 01:03 on Monday, 7 January, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as House Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

This incident was a false alarm caused by a gas fired rayburn which was isolated by fire service personnel and advice given to the occupier
