At 09:21 on Monday, 21 January, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

False alarm raised with good intent. Crew used a thermal imaging camera to confirm that there was no fire within chimney flue.
