Fire In Open

Church Lane, Whixall

At 06:48 on Saturday, 26 January, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Lane, Whixall.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Prees and Wem.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks
• Thermal imaging camera

Crews have extinguished fire involving 10m x 10m wheat chaff on floor of agricultural building using two hose reel jets.
