At 08:46 on Friday, 19 April, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Bonfire in Bomere Heath.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Oswestry and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Fire in the open involving a quantity compost, rubbish, timber, plastic sheeting and tyres.
