At 13:57 on Monday, 20 May, 2019, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Smell Of Gas in Bridgnorth .

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Bridgnorth and Telford. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service and the Police.

Reports of strong smell of gas in the area. Gas board in attendance and have isolated the gas leak - area is being ventilated. Electricity board in attendance and have isolated all electricity in surrounding area & are repairing main electricity cable. Police also in attendance - Cordons in place and High street currently closed.
