At 23:34 on Monday, 2 March, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting that a Road Traffic Collision had taken place.

2 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Newport and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports from police of road traffic collision involving one car which had gone in to canal. Car upside down in lock system of canal. No persons were trapped and crews removed vehicle from lock
