At 16:38 on Friday, 8 May, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

3 fire appliances including the Pinzgauer were mobilised from Church Stretton and Craven Arms. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet
• Knapsacks

Incident involving gorse, grass and undergrowth on fire. Area extends to approximately 700 square meters with approximately 20 separate seats of fire.
