At 17:11 on Tuesday, 27 October, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Hampton Wood, Ellesmere.

4 fire appliances were mobilised from Ellesmere, Oswestry, Wellington and Whitchurch.

Call to reports of a horse fallen into a pond. The horse was pronounced deceased by a vet prior to the arrival of the fire service and no action was required by fire crews attending.
