At 07:45 on Thursday, 21 January, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as HGV Fire in A5 Eastbound Woodcote to Edgebold, Shrewsbury.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury.

Call to HGV on fire on roadway. Incident was found to be a false alarm caused by an engine malfunction.
