A5 Westbound Emstrey to Bayston hill

At 18:06 on Thursday, 22 April, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire.

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Covering jet
• Hosereel jet

2 cars well alight on carriageway. Crews used 2 breathing apparatus 2 hose reel jets and 1 covering jet to extinguish the fires.
