At 19:05 on Saturday, 17 July, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Bridgnorth.

5 fire appliances including the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Shrewsbury and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Reports of persons in distress in the river which was found to be a false alarm with good intent.
