At 15:50 on Wednesday, 25 August, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Field Of Straw in Shawbury.

4 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Beaters
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Land Ambulance Service .

1 field of straw stubble alight. Crews extinguised using fogging unit, high pressure hose and beaters.
