At 21:15 on Thursday, 7 October, 2021, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Newport.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Rakes, shovels, mathooks

Small fire in wooded area. Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel jet and drag rakes,
