During the winter months many of us will use additional and portable heaters
These can if used safely be an essential source of heat however, used irresponsibly they can be a risk to life. If you use a portable heater, please follow the safety advice below:
- Avoid placing heaters too close to furnishings or other combustibles.
- Never put washing to dry on the heater
- Do not place heaters in the way of an exit route.
- Ensure the heater is in good working condition.
- Do not place a heater in front of an open fire.
