Integrated Clothing Project Update

The Integrated Clothing Project is the national procurement project for firefighters' clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE). Firebuy have announced that, following tender assessments, this contract is to be awarded to Bristol Uniforms. Lion Apparel, one of the unsuccessful bidders, has, however, sought a legal review of this award. Although their request for a preliminary injunction preventing award of the contract was unsuccessful, their case has not been dismissed and a full hearing is expected in December 2007 or January 2008. The Service has made arrangements with its current supplier to continue with provision of clothing and PPE.
