At 18:49 on Monday, 12 August, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Shrewsbury.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Shrewsbury.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Thermal imaging camera

Bonfire in garden, which had spread to neighbouring gardens extinguished using 2 hose reel jets.
