At 20:39 on Saturday, 7 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Electricity Cable in Whitc.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wem.

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency and a utility company.

Report of tree which had fallen down onto electricity cables. Crews unable to carry out any action and have requested highways to attend to clear road and Scottish Power have also been requested to attend.
