At 01:46 on Wednesday, 21 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as AFA in Newport.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Incident involves small fire in kitchen of domestic property caused by unattended cooking.
