At 13:11 on Wednesday, 6 August, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Church Stretton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Church Stretton.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms
• Small gear
• Thermal imaging camera

Fire caused by bonfire which had spread to nearby hedge. Crews extinguished fire and gave advice.
