At 23:26 on Saturday, 15 September, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Chimney Fire in Market Drayton.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Hodnet and Market Drayton. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

  • Chimney rods
  • Small gear
  • Stirrup pump
  • Thermal imaging camera

Fire involving flue of log burner, crews used chimney gear, small tools and thermal image camera. A re-inspection will be carried out at 1000hrs
