At 08:46 on Friday, 12 October, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as HGV Fire in A5 Preston Island, Shrewsbury .

3 fire appliances were mobilised from Shrewsbury and Wellington.

Small fire involving the brakes on an articulated lorry. Fire was out on arrival and no action was required by fire service personnel.
