At 16:15 on Sunday, 4 November, 2018, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Smoke In Area.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Wellington.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet

Crews have extinguished controlled burn which was affecting visibility on the roadway. Fire has been extinguished using 1 hose reel jet and drag rakes.
