Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service attended a road traffic collision this morning (5 November 2019 at 07:08) involving an articulated cattle transporter.

The accident happened on the Nescliffe bypass near Felton Butler roundabout and caused tail backs and also a road closure lasting around three hours.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service experienced one of its busiest weekends as heavy rain brought flooding to several areas of the County seeing 220 emergency calls being received in 48 hours.

Crews were called to two blazing vehicles, approximately 10m apart in a Brindleyford car park at 00:55am.

Shortly after, crews received a second call at 00:57, where a further three vehicles were reported on Brackenfield Road. No people were involved in either incident.

The exercise is based on the scenario of a fast jet and a military helicopter collision over the power station site.
