Shropshire Fire & Rescue Service are currently not conducting full Safe & Well visits
In line with government advice during the Coronavirus pandemic any visit requests will be risk assessed by the Prevention team. Advice can be given over the phone as an alternative until staff are able to conduct the full Safe & Well visit.
If you wish to request a Safe & Well Visit phone the number given and we will arrange to visit as soon as the restrictions are lifted in relation to visiting homes again.
For advice call 01743 260200. The Prevention team are available Monday-Friday during office hours to discuss fire safety concerns, take agency referrals and discuss the refit of faulty smoke alarms.
Here are some useful tips to help #staysafe
- Test your smoke alarms weekly, push the button
- Take care when cooking it’s easy to get distracted, use a timer perhaps
- Do not leave dishwashers, tumble driers or washing machines on overnight
- Close internal doors at bedtime
- Keep your escape routes clear
