This incident involved wrapped polythene for crops, undergrowth, hedgerow and fence alight. Crews extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

At 11:20 on Friday, 17 April, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Market Drayton.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Hodnet.

Reports of smouldering fire. Fire involved smouldering straw measuring 20 by 20 metres. Fire crews used high pressure hose reel jet and drag rakes to extinguish fire. Assistance was given by farmer with agricultural machine.

At 13:35 on Saturday, 11 April, 2020, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Tractor Fire.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Hodnet, Market Drayton, Prees and Whitchurch. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Main jet

Fire involving large baler, together with bales of straw and cut straw. Two hose reel jets, one main jet, 2 high pressure lances from the Incident Support Units, and 4 breathing apparatus in use to extinguish fire.
