Small fire involving electrical consumer unit and a number of electrical sockets. 1 tree and section of hedgerow also alight, 1 hosereel jet in use.

One hatchback vehicle involved in fire. Crews used one hose reel jet and 2 breathing apparatus' to extinguish.

At 13:34 on Sunday, 28 May, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Whitchurch.

5 fire appliances including the Aerial Ladder Platform, the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit, the Light Pumping Unit and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch, Bridgnorth, Hodnet, Market Drayton, Shrewsbury, Telford and Whitchurch. Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers were in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

Also at the scene of the incident were: a utility company.

One barn measuring 80 m x 50m involved in fire. Crews using aerial ladder platform to assist with extinguishing the fire. Western Power also in attendance at incident.
