At 18:26 on Tuesday, 14 February, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Worthen.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Minsterley.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Shovels/Forks/Brooms

This incident involved a controlled burn which has ignited nearby undergrowth and trees. Crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish and shovels to turn over.
