At 11:11 on Tuesday, 11 July, 2023, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Water Rescue in Telford.

3 fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit, the Incident Support Unit and the Water Rescue Unit were mobilised from Shrewsbury, Telford Central and Tweedale. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews called to person unable to get out of water by The Iron Bridge at Ironbridge. 1 person pulled from river by Police and in care of ambulance crews. No action required by Fire Service upon arrival to incident.
