At 12:24 on Tuesday, 31 December, 2024, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as LGV Fire in Shrewsbury.

2 fire appliances were mobilised from Minsterley and Shrewsbury. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Thermal imaging camera

Also at the scene of the incident were: the Highways Agency and the Police.

Coolant leak from engine of tractor causing ignition. Fire out upon Fire Service arrival.
