At 10:37 on Thursday, 30 January, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Stiperstones.

1 fire appliance was mobilised from Bishops Castle.

This incident was a false alarm caused by controlled burning being mistaken for a fire in the open
