At 11:53 on Saturday, 8 February, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Fire In Open in Pontesbury, Shrewsbury .

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Hosereel jet
• Small gear

This incident involved a fire at the base of a hollow tree. Crews used one hose reel jet, small tools and a misting lance to extinguish the fire.
