At 12:10 on Sunday, 16 March, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Car Fire in Sherrifhales.

2 fire appliances including the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Telford Central and Tweedale.

Crews used the following equipment to tackle the fire:

• Breathing Apparatus (BA)
• Hosereel jet

1 private saloon car 50% destroyed by fire. 5 metres of adjacent hedgerow also destroyed by fire.
