At 20:50 on Tuesday, 22 April, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting a fire classified as Barn Fire in Oswestry.

2 fire appliances including the Light Pumping Unit, the Rescue Tender and the Water Carrier were mobilised from Baschurch and Oswestry. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Report of a fire coming from a barn with livestock inside. On arrival of crews, this was a false alarm due to a controlled burn. Advice given to occupiers.
