At 11:51 on Sunday, 18 May, 2025, SFRS Fire Control received a call reporting an incident classified as Animal Rescue in Shifnal.

4 fire appliances including the Rescue Tender were mobilised from Telford Central and Wellington. An Operations officer was in attendance.

Also at the scene of the incident were: a vet.

One horse assisted out of stable using animal rescue gear and medical harness. Horse now being assessed by vet.
